We at CoinGecko were recently asked to do a review of Bitstarz, one of the largest Bitcoin casinos around. Since casinos are a large part of the cryptocurrency ecosystem, we decided to take a look at the latest offerings.
In short, we are pleased to see the quality of Bitstarz and how this fledgling industry has continued its growth. One of our most favourite games are the Bitcoin-specific dice games, specifically PocketDice. We were borderline hooked onto this game and tried for a long time to earn more money from this game.
The premise of the game is simple. You have two dice which are rolled inside the red cup. You can then bet whether the sum of the dice is greater or under a certain number. As you can see in the image above, we took a very conservative approach by betting the sum of the dice to be above 4, which happens almost all the time. Of course the higher we bet, the risk will increase and so will our rewards.
At the end of each round, we can play a Risk game where we have a 50% chance of multiplying our last win. All we need to do is select 3 dice and click the Roll button. In this case, the die that came out was 6 which was one of the selected 3 dice so we just doubled our winnings! :)
The other type of games which we enjoyed were the live casino games. We tried our hands at blackjack and we really enjoyed playing with a live dealer as compared to playing with a software. It almost feels like we are in a casino but the fact is we are right at home in our pyjamas.
We did have some fun playing with the roulette software game. It is really fun selecting our numbers and seeing the spinning roulette.
