Continuing our series of articles on how to buy bitcoin in Asia, we will now take a look at how to buy bitcoin in Vietnam. We have previously covered how to buy bitcoin in Malaysia and Singapore. Vietnam, the third most populous country in South East Asia with about 90 million people, has one major Bitcoin broker, Bitcoin Vietnam and a live trading exchange platform, VBTC operated by Bitcoin Vietnam's sister company. There is another small player in the Vietnam that goes by the name of Mua Bitcoin.
1. Coinhako
Established in 2014, Coinhako is Asia's Trusted Digital Token platform.
Headquartered in Singapore, Coinhako opened its full suite of services for Vietnam in 2018, allowing Vietnamese users to buy/sell Bitcoin and other blockchain tokens with the Vietnamese dong (VND). Coinhako supports over 30 blockchain tokens, allowing users to make token-to-token swaps in addition to direct fiat purchases.
Coinhako is also available on Android, iOS and Web, this allows you to access to your digital assets easily from anywhere, at anytime!
2. Bitcoin Vietnam
Bitcoin Vietnam was launched in late 2013 and is the country's first and leading bitcoin broker exchange. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, the company enables Bitcoin users in Vietnam to buy and sell bitcoin.
One of the exchange’s latest features is a wallet functionality which allows users to store funds directly on their platform. In addition, users can make instant and secure off-chain transactions to other Bitcoin Vietnam users, alongside conducting instant sell orders right from their 'Bitcoin Vietnam Wallet'.
3. VBTC
VBTC, the sister company of BitcoinVietnam is the outcome of a technology partnership with Israeli exchange technology startup Bit2C Ltd. This technology partnership allowed it to become Vietnam’s first and only Bitcoin live trading exchange platform.
The company complies with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) measures despite a lack of existing regulations in Vietnam.

4. Mua Bitcoin
Mua Bitcoin is a small Bitcoin exchange in Vietnam. The site is only available in Vietnamese and not much further information is available.
