What Is Zircuit?
Zircuit is a zero-knowledge rollup that is working to solve underlying security issues faced by rollups. While security efforts are usually focused on application and smart contract levels, Zircuit approaches by going directly to the sequencer level. This approach makes use of AI-enabled security at the sequencer level to monitor the mempool without affecting censorship resistance or data performance.
By introducing AI mechanisms, Zircuit’s services will constantly monitor for malicious transactions, blacklisted addresses, and other security issues. These are then prevented from entering the next block, ensuring higher chain security for projects and users. Applying security measures at the sequencer level allows for it to scrutinize transactions before they are finalized on the Layer 2.
The protocol combines technology from Geth, Halo2, and Optimism Bedrock to provide users with cheap, fast, and secure transactions. Being fully EVM-compatible encourages a smooth transition for developers looking to deploy Ethereum dApps with minimal hassle. It also means that Zircuit inherits Ethereum’s security features to ensure that deployed smart contracts are protected by the same security measures.
Zircuit has recently received an undisclosed sum from Binance Labs, the venture capital and incubation arm of Binance. The investment will be used to help the protocol grow and develop the network further, ahead of its upcoming mainnet launch. Zircuit is also backed by Pantera Capital, Dragonfly Capital, and Maelstrom.
The Zircuit token, ZRC, officially launched on November 25, 2024, with a Total Supply of 10,000,000,000 tokens. The Token Generation Event (TGE) also unlocked Zircuit’s Airdrop and users can now go to https://app.zircuit.com/airdrop to check their eligibility and claim their token airdrop allocation. Zircuit held two Airdrop Seasons with the snapshots taken on July 7, 2024, for Season 1 and November 20, 2024, for Season 2. From the token’s Total Supply, 7% was allocated for Season 1 points while 3% was allocated for Season 2.
To keep the ball rolling, Zircuit is now running Season 3 for users to earn more points. Season 1 was focused on L1 staking while Season 2 shifted the focus to L2 staking. Now in Season 3, the focus is to incentivize active liquidity on L2 and transactions on the newly launched Mainnet.
Step 1: Connect Wallet
Go to https://app.zircuit.com/liquidity-hub and Connect Wallet in the top right corner. Unlike before, you no longer need a referral code to join.

Step 2: Bridge Assets
Due to Season 3 putting the focus on L2 staking on the Zircuit Mainnet, you will need to bridge your assets over from Ethereum to Zircuit.
In the left menu bar, head over to Bridge and connect the same wallet.

You can then select your desired token, like USDC, and amount to bridge before approving and confirming the transaction in your wallet.
Do note that you need to bridge ETH as well to pay for transaction and gas fees.

Alternatively, you can also bridge your assets through https://app.rhino.fi which allows you to bridge from different networks. As shown below, we can bridge USDT from Mode to Zircuit.

For Season 1 and Season 2 participants, Zircuit offers Gas-free migration when you visit the L2 Staking page.

Step 3: Deposit in L2 Staking
Head over to L2 Staking in the Zircuit Liquidity Hub to see a list of assets that you can deposit. There are various assets from different protocols that can earn you boosters such as pzETH and ezETH from Renzo or rsETH from Kelp. Recipients of the previous airdrop can also deposit their ZRC tokens here to earn the highest booster of 3x Zircuit Points.
Choose your asset to deposit, input the desired amount, and Confirm the transaction in your wallet.

Step 4: Provide Liquidity (Optional)
Providing liquidity to the listed Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs) will also earn you additional boosts depending on the token pairs. We have included this step as optional because it requires you to bridge additional assets to the Zircuit Mainnet.
Go to DEX in the left menu and you will see the three available DEXs as well as the available token pairs and corresponding boosts.

Select which DEX and pair you want to Provide Liquidity, such as WETH-ZRC on DODO, and connect your wallet to the site.

Then choose the pair you want to Add liquidity, set the amount, and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

Step 5: Lend Assets
Another method of earning boosts on your Zircuit points is to lend your tokens. Go to Lending and choose which lending market you want to interact with. At the time of writing, lending ZRC will earn you a 3x boost while lending WETH, WBTC, USDC, and USDT will earn you a 2x boost.

As an example, we will Lend ZRC on Elara. Open the Elara lending page and connect your wallet.
Then choose to Supply ZRC.
Input the amount then approve and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
Conclusion
Zircuit is a fully EVM-compatible zero-knowledge rollup that aims to provide fast, cheap, and secure transactions. Its use of AI-enabled security at the sequencer level allows it to closely monitor transactions and prevent malicious ones from being finalized. Users can now interact with Zircuit to earn more points for Season 3 of the airdrop. Do note that following the above steps is no guarantee of an airdrop, and that airdrops are granted at the project's discretion. Never invest more in a project than you can afford to lose.
