CoinGecko will be hosting our Virtual Meetup #5 this coming Wednesday, August 26 @ 10PM EST. Held monthly, CoinGecko Virtual Meetup is our live online community event where we explore different key topics in the crypto sphere and invite industry leaders to share their two satoshis.
This month, we will be exploring the field of Yield Farming and one of our featured guests is Kerman Kohli, founder of ARCx.
1. Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m Kerman, the founder of ARCx - a synthetic asset protocol. I’ve started multiple companies, of which my first venture was an app called The Homework App which I sold at the age of 20 after it received 2.5m+ downloads and 100,000 monthly active users. In between ventures I’ve worked at some of the top crypto companies in the space such as Gods Unchained and Zora where I was their Crypto Lead.
2. How did the idea of your company come about?
I realized that people hold many assets which they can’t do much with apart from holding or selling them. ARC allows them to create synthetic stable coins by locking up their collateral.
3. What project(s) are you up to lately?
I’m currently in the early stages of getting ARC to main-net and excited to see the project progress.
4. Can you briefly explain what are your thoughts on the Yield Farming fad?
I think it’s great and that it’ll go through various iterations of improvement before reaching its final form. Users need to do more due diligence before going into certain projects though.
Join us at CoinGecko Virtual Meetup this Wednesday (26 August 2020) to learn more about the future of Yield Farming.
