Professional NFT Appraisers Incoming
Abacus is an upcoming liquidity backed appraisal protocol for NFTs that has been garnering a lot of CT attention. As an appraiser or trader, you will be able to deposit collaterals into tranches based on your valuation of the NFT. If you expect a Punk to sell for 50 ETH for instance, then you'd want to deposit in any of the tranches <=50 ETH.
When the pool is closed by the NFT owner, the NFT owner will be able to collect all the pooled liquidity, while the NFT will be put up for an auction. If the Punk above for instance sells for more than 50ETH, the premium will be split between the eligible tranches. If it sells for below 50 ETH, deposits in the tranches above the selling price will be slashed.
Appraisers will also get to earn Epoch Distribution Credits (EDC), which can ultimately be converted into ABC, Abacus' native token. Not only will ABC holders get to enjoy revenue sharing with Abacus, the token also plays an integral role in a Curve-war-like bribing system that the protocol has.
