Market Cap
Market Cap = Current Price x Circulating Supply
Refers to the total market value of a cryptocurrency’s circulating supply. It is similar to the stock market’s measurement of multiplying price per share by shares readily available in the market (not held & locked by insiders, governments) Read More |

Fully Diluted Valuation
Fully Diluted Valuation (FDV) = Current Price x Total Supply
Fully Diluted Valuation (FDV) is the theoretical market capitalization of a coin if the entirety of its supply is in circulation, based on its current market price. The FDV value is theoretical as increasing the circulating supply of a coin may impact its market price. Also depending on the tokenomics, emission schedule or lock-up period of a coin's supply, it may take a significant time before its entire supply is released into circulation. About HBARX (HBARX)
HBARX is a liquid staking token that represents a user's share of HBAR staked through the Stader protocol on the Hedera network.
- Users receive HBARX in exchange for depositing HBAR into Stader's smart contracts.
- The token's value increases relative to HBAR as staking rewards are periodically added to the pool.
- HBARX enables users to maintain liquidity for DeFi activities while simultaneously earning network staking rewards.
What Is HBARX
HBARX is the primary liquid staking derivative for the Hedera ecosystem, designed to solve the liquidity constraints of traditional staking. In standard staking models, tokens are locked and unusable for other financial activities; HBARX allows users to "unlock" this value. When a user deposits HBAR into the Stader protocol, they mint HBARX tokens based on the current exchange rate. These tokens represent the user's principal plus any accrued rewards.
Value moves through the system as the protocol delegates the pooled HBAR to validators on the Hedera network. As these validators earn rewards, the total amount of HBAR in the pool increases, which in turn raises the exchange rate of HBARX relative to HBAR. This autocompounding mechanism means that HBARX holders do not need to manually claim or restake rewards to benefit from network growth. The system scales as more HBAR is committed to the pool, increasing the overall security of the Hedera network while providing a liquid asset for the broader ecosystem.
What Makes HBARX Unique
- First-to-Market: HBARX was the first liquid staking solution launched for the Hedera network, developed with support from an HBAR Foundation grant.
- Exchange Rate Model: Unlike rebasing tokens, HBARX uses an appreciating exchange rate model, which can be more tax-efficient in certain jurisdictions as the number of tokens in the wallet remains constant while their value grows.
- Ecosystem Integration: As a native Hedera token, HBARX is designed for deep integration with local decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, serving as a core building block for liquidity.
What Can You Use HBARX for?
- Staking Rewards: Holders earn passive yield from Hedera network staking without locking their assets.
- DeFi Utility: HBARX can be used across various DeFi protocols on Hedera for activities such as providing liquidity in decentralized exchanges or as collateral in lending markets.
- Immediate Liquidity: Users can trade HBARX back to HBAR on secondary markets at any time, bypassing the standard unstaking periods required by the protocol.
How Does HBARX Work?
HBARX operates using an automated exchange rate mechanism managed by smart contracts. When staking rewards are added to the pool, the exchange rate is updated using the formula: New Rate = (Current Rate) + (Rewards Added / Total HBARX in Circulation). This ensures that the value of each HBARX token reflects a growing amount of underlying HBAR.
The protocol charges protocol service fees on the rewards earned to maintain the infrastructure and security of the platform. By using liquid staking, the protocol enables the Hedera network to remain secure through distributed stake while allowing the capital to remain productive in other applications.
Team Info and Investors
HBARX was developed and is managed by Stader Labs, a multichain liquid staking platform. The project received an early grant from the HBAR Foundation to bring the first staking solution to the network. To ensure security, the protocol's smart contracts have undergone third-party audits by firms such as Halborn.
