ziftrCOIN is a new altcoin created by Ziftr, an e-commerce company based in New Hampshire that develops tools and applications to revolutionize shopping. Ziftr is led by its CEO, Robert Wilkins, a serial entrepreneur who is in his 6th business. ziftrCOIN aims to solve two of the key problems standing in the way of mainstream cryptocurrency adoption, that is the Retailer Problem where retailers are wary of accepting cryptocurrencies as most APIs only work for one specific coin and the Consumer Problem where consumers do not feel confident paying with cryptocurrencies due to the lack of consumer-friend technology.
ziftrCOIN aims to solve the Retailer Problem by enabling retailers of all sizes the opportunity to become a Ziftr Retailer, through which they gain access to Ziftr’s innovative applications such as ziftrPAY, a highly secure API that enables retailers to accept various cryptocurrencies and ziftrSHOP, an online marketplace that helps retailers increase their online visibility. Meanwhile to solve the Consumer Problem, ziftrCOIN is giving away 300 million coins to help consumers become familiar with cryptocurrency. Each ziftrCOIN will have a minimum redemption value of $1 when spent within the ziftrSHOP online marketplace. Consumers may think of ziftrCOINs as their very own Ziftr coupons.
There is a pre-mine of 4.5% of the total of 10 billion ziftrCOIN total supply of which 66.7% will be given away to consumers. The remainder of the pre-mine will be distributed to employees and advisors at the end of each year on an equal basis (25 million ziftrCOINs per year).
