Advertising Policy
1. Introduction
At CoinGecko, we strive to provide high-quality, valuable, and transparent information to our users. Accordingly, our advertising policies are designed to ensure that advertisements ("ad", "ads" or "advertisement(s)") on our platforms maintain a high standard while offering a safe and positive experience for users. Our advertising policy ("Ad Policy" or "Advertising Policy") herein therefore sets out the minimum standards that all advertisers ("you", "Advertiser(s)" or "advertiser(s)") on our platform must comply with.

2. Advertising Types
CoinGecko offers two types of advertising options:
- Self-Serve Ads: Advertisers independently create and manage selected ads using our self-serve platform.
- Managed Ads: Direct engagement with our business development team for ad placements.
3. Ad Approval and Compliance
All advertisements are subject to CoinGecko's ad review and approval process (to be determined by CoinGecko in its sole discretion). While some self-serve ad placements undergo manual review before going live, others may be automatically approved based on predetermined criteria (as set by CoinGecko in its sole discretion). CoinGecko reserves the right to modify its review process at any time without prior notice or liability to anyone.
Campaign Considerations
CoinGecko reserves the right to approve, reject, or remove any advertisement at its sole discretion based on internal policies, user safety considerations, and/or compliance requirements. Nonetheless, CoinGecko's approval (or allowance of an ad placement) does not howsoever waive, limit or reduce advertiser's liability under paragraph 3(b) above.
Campaign Considerations
- Eligibility: Advertisers must meet certain credibility and quality criteria to be eligible.
- Legal Compliance: Advertisers must comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws, including but not limited to financial advertising regulations, consumer protection laws, anti-fraud laws, and data privacy regulations. CoinGecko reserves the right (but not the obligation) to request proof of compliance. CoinGecko is under no obligation to monitor or ensure that any advertiser's advertisements are legally compliant. All advertisers are fully responsible for their advertisements, and in the event that CoinGecko faces any third party claims or regulatory sanctions, the advertiser of such advertisement undertakes to fully indemnify, defend and hold harmless CoinGecko against all claims, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including without limitation legal fees on a solicitor-client basis) howsoever arising as a result of the advertisement.
- URL and Landing Page Requirements: URLs on any advertisements must offer a safe, non-deceptive experience and not redirect to content that is unrelated to the subject-matter described in the advertisement.
- Prohibited Advertising Practices: CoinGecko strictly prohibits misleading, fraudulent, disruptive, or unethical advertising practices.

6.1 Self-Serve Ads
6.2 Managed Ads
6.1 Self-Serve Ads
- Create an account.
- Select ad placement.
- Define campaign details, target audience and budget.
- Create and preview the ad.
- Submit for review. Some placements may be auto-approved based on predetermined criteria, while others require manual review, which takes up to 48 business hours.
- Once an ad is submitted, advertisers must complete payment before the campaign can be activated. Payments can be made per campaign, or advertisers can preload credits for future campaigns.
- Ads will run according to the defined campaign settings. Charges will be deducted based on ad delivery metrics, such as per click (CPC) or per impressions (CPM), depending on the available ad format.
- Advertisers can pause their ads at any time. While paused, no charges will be deducted, and the remaining budget will stay in their credit balance. The campaign can be resumed later using the existing balance.
- Advertisers can choose to end their campaigns at any time. Any unused budget will be credited back to their ad account and can be used for future campaigns.
